Hi there!
I’m Brendan Lafferty, Owner of B-Sharp Entertainment. I’ve been a music lover all my life. When I was a kid, I always had the radio on and I’d buy almost every song I heard. Some kids collect baseball cards; I decided to collect records and make some mixtapes for my friends. My first official DJ gig was my own 8th grade school dance, and that was the starting point.
I listen to everything. I can play the piano, too, but where I’m most comfortable is behind the DJ decks, using my musical “ESP” to help create memories with the right combination of songs, beats, rhythms and energy.
Music that’s in the moment.
I love when moments on the dancefloor happen magically. For example, I once entertained for a couple who included some song lyrics with special meaning as part of their wedding ceremony, but the song wasn’t anywhere on their playlist and it never came up in our conversations. After their last dance, when the crowd was chanting “one more song!”, I decided to surprise them with that track… (“Mirrors” by Justin Timberlake, if you’re curious). You couldn’t have scripted a better way to wrap up their celebration.
